Aquarius in tattooing: what each symbol means

The glyph – two parallel waves – is the cleanest symbol in the entire zodiac. Two lines, nothing more, and still instantly recognisable. That is exactly why this sign is among the most tattooed of all.

Despite the name, Aquarius is not a water sign but an air sign – the waves originally depict air and current, not water. The vessel or the figure of the water bearer are the more literal options for a larger format.
